Terri Morton, age 55 of Inver Grove Heights, MN passed away while at work on Wednesday, August 16th 2017. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:30pm Thursday, August 24 2017 at Kandt Tetrick Funeral Home, located at 140 8th Ave. N., South Saint Paul, MN 55075. Visitation will begin at 3:30pm.
Terri Lee (DesLauriers) Morton was born on October 6, 1961 to Ralph and Joan (Paul) DesLauriers at Weiner Memorial Hospital in Marshall, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall, MN. Terri attended school in Marshall and graduated from Marshall Senior High School in 1980.
Terri married Mike Morton on August 7, 1982 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Inver Grove Heights, MN. The couple made their home in Inver Grove Heights and were blesses with two sons, Timothy and Joshua. After her divorce, she attended Inver Hills Community College and graduated with her Associates in Applied Science Degree in 1989, while raising her sons with their father.
She enjoyed art, flowers and gardening, cooking and baking, watching movies, singing and dancing, listening to music – especially Keith Urban. Most of all she loved spending time with her boys.
Terri was very interested in learning about family genealogy, religion, philosophy and self-improvement. She put all of her effort into any task at hand and was very dedicated and proud of her work.
Terri is survived by her sons Tim of St. Paul MN and Josh of Minneapolis, MN; her mother Joan (Paul) DesLauriers of Tracy; Sisters Natalie (DesLauriers) Ankrum of Tracy and Rita (DesLauriers) Javens of Cottonwood; nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and 2 great nieces an a great nephew.
Terri is preceded in death by her father Ralph; brother Curtis; nephews Jesse and Hunter Javens; grandparents Joseph and Pearl DesLauriers and Woodrow and Edith Paul.
She is deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
