Evelyn Fay Fleming (Brunn)
Age 94. Inver Grove Heights, formerly South St. Paul. Passed away from natural causes 4/29/20. Born 2/23/26 in Menomonie, WI to Bert E. G. Brunn and Effie Lois (Curtis) Brunn. Family relocated to St. Paul, MN where Evelyn graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1944. She also attended Globe Business College. Met her future husband Orville Louis Fleming in 1946. They married on January 18, 1947, at Hamline Methodist Church. After the birth of their first child in 1948, they moved to South St. Paul where they became members of First Methodist Church of South St. Paul. Evelyn raised her five young children after the sudden and tragic death of her husband when he was 37 years old. Retired after 32 years from First Trust Company of St. Paul (now part of U. S. Bank System).
Evelyn loved to read, sew, shop, collect figurines and antique glassware. She often sewed Barbie doll clothes for her granddaughters and others. She frequently participated in Dress-a-Doll events for Christmas donation collection.
Preceded by parents, husband Orville, son Dick, sisters Betty Hansen, Phyllis Brunn, and Valeria Goodman. Survived by daughters Kathryn (Robert) Soine and Diane (Dick) Presley, sons Larry and Thomas, sister Dorothy Bennett, 6 grandchildren Trisha, Tawna (Ryan), Michael, Kristin (Matt), Erik and Tina (Mike), 8 great-grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica, Katherine, Madeline, Joshua, Benjamin, Jacob, and Leighton, 1 great great-grandchild Emma, Brother-in-law Russell Goodman and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will take place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday July 29th. Masks are required! please arrive by 11:30 a.m. Assembly area # 5
