Obituary for
Michael Frederic Briese
Age 78 of Eden Prairie passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2019.
Michael was born in Rochester Minnesota and graduated from Rochester John Marshall High School. He then attended Rochester Junior College and finished his Associate degree later in life at Normandale Community College. Michael enjoyed playing all sports as a child, but baseball became his favorite and he played baseball in the minor leagues until an injury forced his retirement. Michael was an avid Minnesota Sports fan who never missed a televised Twins, Viking or Gopher game.
Michael worked as a clothier for Powell and Sullivan in Rochester and later switched jobs to Cedric's in the Galleria when he moved to Minneapolis. He was in AA and was very proud of his 38 years of sobriety.
Joyce and Michael met in Minneapolis and they have been married for 44 years. They were blessed with their daughters Kris & Megan. Michael loved his daughters more than they knew. His grandchildren, Mitchell, Blake, Sophia and Sutter were very special to him. Michael enjoyed working in his yard. He always had projects going on somewhere. In his later years his health kept him from doing all the things he loved. Michael never complained, kept his sense of humor and enjoyed life to the fullest.
