Barbara (Barb) A. Meyer was born October 22, 1969 in Georgia to Carol Monack and Paul Poehler. She grew up in West St. Paul and graduated from Sibley High School in 1989. She went on to further her education at Rasmussen College. Barb worked for Bremer Bank for 22 years and Wells Fargo for 2 years as a financial crimes investigator. She married her husband Jeffery on September 23, 1995 and they moved to Farmington, MN in 1996. Three years later they had their first child, Sophie. Four years after Sophie, they had their second child Colby. Barb always put her family first.

Barb enjoyed cooking/baking, going to movies, dancing/singing, and spending time with family/friends. Her signature dishes include (but are not limited to) cheesy potatoes, chocolate chip cookies, and parmesan-garlic chicken. She had many lifelong friends as well as some that she met not too long ago. Barb was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer in July of 2019. There were many ups and downs throughout the two months that she battled the disease, but she always remained optimistic and caring. Barb was loved by many and loved many, she will be missed dearly.

Barb was preceded in death by mother and father Carol Monack and Paul Poehler and father-in-law Arlen Meyer. Survived by husband Jeffery, daughter Sophie, son Colby, step-father Dennis, sister Suzanne, mother-in-law Mavis, and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces.
Funeral service at 2pm on Monday September 16, 2019, with visitation 2 hours before, at Farmington Lutheran Church. 20600 Akin Road in Farmington
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
